Actually, both these banks have merged with Punjab National Bank (PNB). After this, the IFSC code (IFSC) of OBC and UNI bank has been discontinued with effect from 1 April 2021. User IDs have also changed. The old user ID and IFSC were valid till 31 March 2021 only. Now the customers of these two banks will get new IFSC and user IDs. Information about this has been tweeted by Punjab National Bank (PNB).
What has PNB said?
PNB said in its tweet, ‘Dear customer, eOBC and eUNI’s IFSC has been discontinued from April 1, 2021. Information on the new IFSC is available on the respective branches and on the corporate website of PNB. You can get a new code from here.
What to do to get a new IFSC code?
PNB said in its tweet that customers can get a new IFSC code by sending an SMS to 9264092640 from their registered mobile number. For this, customers send SMS to 9264092640 by writing UPGR <Space> <last 4 digits of account number>.
Know, what to do for the new user ID?
To know your new user ID, login to the customer know your user ID option. eOBC customers have to put O in front of their 8-digit user ID. eUNI customers have to put U in front of their 8 digit user ID. Customers with a 9-digit user ID do not need to make changes.
